Real crystals have character – fakes look “too perfect.”
Simple tests you can do at home
🥶 Touch test
Natural crystals feel cool to the touch, even in a warm room. Glass or plastic quickly warms up.
🔍 Look for imperfections
Real stones often have tiny cracks, color variations, or inclusions (like dots or threads). Fake ones are uniform in color, clear, and flawless.
⚖️ Weight test
Crystals are dense. A genuine crystal bracelet will feel heavier than a plastic or glass one of the same size.
💎 Quartz scratch test
Quartz (clear quartz, amethyst, citrine) can scratch glass. Try scratching the inside of a glass bottle. If it leaves a mark, it’s likely real.
🔥 Heat test (careful)
Heat a needle and touch it to a hidden spot (like inside a bead hole). If it melts or smells like plastic, it’s fake. Real stone won’t melt.
📦 Where you buy matters
We source directly from ethical miners and lab‑verify every batch. If a deal looks too good to be true (e.g., $10 for an amethyst bracelet), it’s probably fake.
What to avoid
❌ Glass with bubbles inside
❌ Plastic that feels light and warm
❌ Unusually heavy “resin” stones
❌ Perfectly uniform beads (natural stones have variety)
